HCG Metabolic Protocol – Weight Loss Program

At Health Renew MD, we believe “one size DOES NOT fit all” when it comes to weight loss.  Our goal is to motivate and achieve results in order to set permanent lifestyle modifications and succeed in long-term weight management. 

The HCG Metabolic Protocol is one option to help start your weight loss journey.  This protocol will not only help you lose weight it will also focus on metabolic syndrome markers (blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol and comprehensive metabolic values).  Metabolic syndrome has been linked to an increased risk for heart attack, stroke and diabetes.

Our protocol follows the research by Dr. Simeons in the use of HCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) along with a very low calorie diet.  Although some may argue that “you will lose weight anyway” with a 500 calorie diet, the HCG keeps your metabolism burning at normal levels to help reduce abnormal body fat and preserve lean body mass.  While your calories intake are low at 500, your body will continue to burn higher number of calories with the help of the HCG.  In addition, the HCG helps your body target your abnormal fat reserves to get the addition calories needed to keep you from feeling hungry.  Ultimately this will lead to significant weight loss if you strictly follow the protocol which involves avoiding all fats/starches/sugars.  A sample menu may include:

Breakfast:                  HCG + supplements + apple

Lunch:                       4 oz lean protein (chicken breast, white fish, shrimp etc.)

2 handfuls of salad (no calorie/fat/carb dressing/vinegar)

Dinner:                       4 oz lean protein + broccoli (other specific vegetables are allowed)

Snack :                       Apple or ½ grapefruit or 1 cup sliced strawberries

Drinks:                       Must drink at least ½ your body weight in ounces

                                    Unlimited coffee, tea without milk/cream may use stevia only

Our protocol also follows the work of Dr. Mayer Eisenstein, OBGYN  with the addition of nutritional supplements to improve metabolic syndrome markers. Dr.Eisenstein includes the use of vitamin D, probiotics, multivitamins and digestive enzymes to ensure, while following the HCG protocol and after, your body has adequate supplies of these essential nutrients for weight loss.  As a result, patients have improved their metabolic values and were able to reduce their prescription medication needs.
